waterpump/idiot

waterpump/idiot

ok so i finaly gave up in gettin that thermostat housig off and deced to get a new water pump, but i idnt thin about it being connected to the bak part of the water pump not the front cover. so quick question how do i get the bak half off? do i have to remove the studs? any tips? no bolts right? just like 4 studs?

What are you talking about?

You are trying to remove the water pump? Just follow the FSM procedure to remove all the bolts and nuts holding it onto the housing, then pry it off (the gasket will make it stick).

It's very hard to figure out what you are asking due to the wording of your question.

yea idk how to explain it, there is the front cover with the impeller that came off easy but that bolts to a full housing, how do i get that houseing off? that prt of the housing also has the thermostat bolted to it. any thing is helpfull ill try n get some pics but the car is in another area. thanks

are you talking about the water pump housing that bolts to the front cover and the front iron?
