Water Thermo/water temp

I just pulled a code for a water thermo sensor. Thats the one behind the water pump Right?

Well, if that sensor is screwed why aren't i getting hay-wire readings on the temp gauge?

Or is there a water temp sensor as well?

If so... There is no code for it

Someone shed some light!

Thanks, Ev

The one for the gauge is on the driver side of the block. Look down and a bit forward from the oil filter and oil pressure sender.
