Water temperature sender size?

Hey guys, I just bought a water temperature gauge. I am looking to install it this Friday, but apparently I need an adapter to fit the sender in. So my question is, what size is the stock water temperature sender hole? The sender I have is 1/8 in size if I remember right.

I'm not sure but you are better off to leave the stock one too.... try putting it somewhere else if you can. the best place is by the thermostat but you'd probably have to take the water pump off to do it right...

The stock sender thread is an 1/8"BSP?

anyone?

I rather not drill into the water pump housing, so I'm looking to put an aftermarket guage where the stock sensor is.

Is this the best spot for accuracy?
