what should the water temperature guage read...mine usually reads around 160, sometimes 140 or 180. is that normal?

 

What kind of temp gauge do you have and where is the sensor mounted? There's a thread about average cooling temps, search for it.

I usually see 180-190 on a normal day, but after a hard run full load, ac on, i've seen it go as high as 210.
