Water Temp Switch wire for e-fan.

So the the previous owner cut and grounded the wire that goes to this sensor, the old sensor was broken so I'm assuming it was a half-assed fix. So I put a new sensor in and the old wire was too short, so I was trying to crimp a new wire onto it to extend it and ended up pulling the wire too hard and it broke. Now I can't find the end where it's broken and I don't know where the other end goes.
1987 turbo ii, no a/c
in the FSM it says the wire goes to the e-fan sub-relay... But I don't have one, only 4 relays in the front... It also looks like it bypasses the sub-relay of the car has no a/c. So I'm thinking since the car has no a/c that means there's no sub-relay?

its a green wire with black stripe.

cut open the harness where the ACV connectors are, it's in there.
