water temp sensor

so yea i was heading over to my friends house today and noticed my temp gauge didnt move. so when i got there i took a look and behold the wire on the connector for the water temp sensor broke off. so i was like well thats a project for tomorrow.

so now should i try to fix it, or just put in my mechanical water temp gauge. on top of that is that the only temp sensor? so if its not hooked up then the ecu has no temp reading or am i wrong??

the Temp sender(located under the oil filter) is the one that reads temp for the Gauge. If the Wire Broke off, then just run another Spade type connector to it.Simple.
But is you want to go and throw in another gauge, hey,it's your Sweat.

The ECU uses the temp sensors on the back of the water pump and on the bottom of the radiator. The one on the iron is just for the temp gauge.
