Well the stock temperature guage sucks to begin with. Now may be the time to look into purchasing an aftrmarket temp. guage! But I would check the sender too, I haven't installed an aftermarket guage on mine, so I'm not sure if they come with another sensor, but if they use the stock one and the stock one is toast, then it would pointless.

I would check your sending unit and the wiring between the sender and the gauge.
Sounds like your gauge is displaying a dead short.

Okay Water temp sensor still not working and im researching and researching and everyone contradicts each other.
I have an Japan Import 1987 Turbo.
Can anyone tell me which sensor controls the gauge?
is it:
A - the sensor behind the water pump
B - the sensor on the thermostat neck
C - the sensor on the bottom of the radiator
D - the sensor near the fuel filter
