Water in storage bins?

Hey all. I got a very strange one here. I just bought a 7 and I discovered a small pool of water in one of the storage bins. The other bins was only wet a little. Also the car had water collected in the spare tire well and the jack compartment. I have only a couple of guesses of how this may happened, but, Does anyone know if this or has had this happend to them? Not that big of deal to me, but, enough to pester me. Thanks.

Never seen that personally, but if you want to find leaks, goto one of those touchless drivethru wash joints.

I found a slight leak at the top of my hatch that way. All it needs is a new hatch seal.

Didn't develop any rust did it?

under the carpet there are holes with little rubber plugs, and one of those fell ogg of mine, and the same thing happened, water somehow gets through those holes, and doesnt drain back out, same thing with the spare tire holder. so ya might want to check that out also

Sunroof leaking, rear hatch seals leaking, rear hatch drains plugged, sunroof drains clogged or not run right, and missing plugs under the bins, will all contribute to having water in the bins/bin area.
