water neck problems????

water neck problems????

hey guys my seal om top of the water neck is busted this morn on my way to school.
it also happens when i have 43 cents in my pocket.... would permatex hold it ??? if not does any one know if i can get this gasket at autozone or napa i find most stuff for the rx-7 is hard to find there and i dont really have time to wait with school and 2 jobs to get back and forth to ...any help/ideas would be appreciated ......btw im a rx-7 rookis ..2 months ....... ty

the water neck is fine its the seal around it thats bad

I don’t think a parts store would stock it, …but I guess you could cut one out of gasket paper (which you can buy at the parts store).

Currently, mine is sealed with only RTV. It's holding fine.

Is this the water neck to pump housing seal?
That is an O-ring.

The O-ring could be mis fit or out of its groove.
Loose bolts.
Broken bolt tab.

The RTV (silicone sealant) mentioned above is good for all but the exhaust seals.
