Water leaking from passenger side dash

We had a major rainstorm a week ago and water started leaking onto the passenger side floor.
I did some investigation and it looks like water is getting into the duct by the fan and leaking out.
I did a search and looks like some others had some leakage probs caused by AC, but mine happens whenever it rains-not dependent on the ac. In fact if I pour water on the pass side windshield, it ends up coming down onto the floor.
Anyone know of any fixes?
I tried getting behind the fender to see if there maybe was a drain blocked, but no luck.

Bringing this thread back from the dead.

I've been having problems with my heater blower so I have the heater blower assembly out of the car. To make this short, I was in the car wash today rinsing off the car and when I pulled forward out of the wash, a gush of water poured onto the passenger floor. Why is water getting into this hole where the heater blower assembly bolts under the dash? Also, could this explain why my heater blower is not working although I know the motor is good from a 12V source. Something could have been getting wet and finally shorted out.

Why do I always get the stupid problems??!? lol

I think that its the drain coming off the windshield, dont know how to access it.
On another vehicle i have this gets plugged and there is water on the passenger floor after alot of rain, you can also here it sloshing around in there.

Yea, that's the only place I can think of where the water is getting in. That hole where the water is coming out is where the heater blower motor pulls fresh outside air, so you're probably right. The quest to find the clog begins I suppose.

I figured this out. The inlet on the firewall where the hvac box bolts up to bring in fresh air had rusted through. Over the years, leaves and crud traps moisture in there and the lip that normally keeps water out of the hvac box rusts. I took the shop vac up that duct and got all the leaves and crud out that I could. Then I took the dremel with ceramic bit and removed as much rust as I could. Hit it with some paint, let it dry, then taped around the duct with some aluminum tape to create that lip again. Some others suggested JB Weld, but I couldn't figure out how I was going to contort myself to be able to do that. Short of welding a new piece of metal to make a new lip, I think I did an okay job.

I just noticed that whenever it snows and it's windy somehow I end up with a mini snow drift on the passenger floor..
