Warning: n00B Question: What's the relation between the GTU and Turbo 2?

I'm not very knowledgable when it comes to the FC3S chassis and it's various forms and trim levels. I'm looking for a car that cost about $6000, and I happened to come upon a GTU or two in apparently good condition.
From what I can tell, GTUs are revered in the FC world, but it dosen't seem to have a turbo because it has no hood scoop for a top mounted IC.

Yes, I used the search function. No clear answer. So, I'd like to take the risk of being labeled a n00b, and just ask directly in the very friendly, warm and welcoming FC forum!

GTU are the highest models of n/a RX-7. (except for the GTUs) They don't have a Turbo.
The turbo ones were the Turbo II.

See, me? I am ten times more nice than most of the people on this forum and feel your pain. Anyway a GTU depending on the year wasn't much. The 86-88 they were the top of the line cars where from 89-91 they were basically nothing. Turbo IIs have a slight reputation to be unreliable and last just as long as an N/a if you take care of them. However, a lot of people never took care of the cars. It is good to see someone who can openly ask a question....send me a private message if you want anything cause most of the people on the forum will tell you to use the search option which is about as useless is a 3cyl engine.

If you know how to use is properly it's actually quite powerful.
And you should see some of the 3-cyl cars in Japan! Far from useless!
