Warning lights are off when starting the car

Hi there from Norway

Once in a while when I am in the process of starting the car, only one or two of the warning lights are on (like the e-brake and washer warning light). Other times the warning lights works perfectly. Should I look for a fault in the ignition switch or should I look elsewhere for a solution ?

Warning lights sometimes do not work

Hi there from Norway

Sometimes when I am in the process of starting my 86 RX7 the warning lights do not come on. (Only the "active ones" like the E-brake warning light).

Should I look for a fault in the ignition switch or elsewhere?

Hope to get some hints from you experienced RX-7 people!

Thanks

sound like the cpu connections need to be re-solder. I didn't even know the warning lights light up on start up until a re-solder the cpu connections. If you do a search you will find info on this.

Yes the Horn relay is in the CPU. The CPU is located in the drivers kick panel, black box, with two plugs on the bottom and 1 plug in the middle (on your S4) will say FB01 or FB05 on it.
