warning cluster clock inop

hello all...

just wondering of anyone out there has any info on what the culprit may be on my warning cluster lights, the clock doesnt show up, doesnt illuminate or anything. 88 gxl.
The rest of the cluster lights work, on startup it displays the proper ones, seatblet etc, those work fine. no prob at all.

Im wondering, {and hoping} its just a bulb. I dont realy want to change the whole thing.

any experiences out there with this?

thanks all

From FAQ:

My clock/idiot lights don't work correctly or the clock doesn't hold memory when the key is off
Probably the fuse is blown or you have cold solder joints on the clock/idiot light panel.

It is almost certainly cold solder joints. You basically remove the old solder and re-solder all of the joints. Search for posts by icemark about it. He also rebuilds them at www.mazdamark.com
