ware can i get a replacement split air solenoid valve
ware can i get a replacement split air solenoid valve
auto zone was no help and mazdatrix only sells the whole air control valve assembly and i don't have $377.46 to spend when its a 25-50 dollar part that i need to replace
Buy one from the wreckyard on on the FORSALE part of this forum.
FYI.....the lack of one will not make you fail emissions. That solenoid is ONLY open when your in FIFTH gear. Simply removing the poppet valve inside it will feed airpump air to the split air pipe at all times. I should say......will feed additional airpump air to the split air pipe all the time the engine is running.

So you ignored the place the will definitely have it and went to the place least likely place to have it (Autozone). Man some of you guys suck at finding parts...
If you really want a new one go to Mazda. The part number is N304-20-725, but I bet it'll cost more than $25.
As suggested, your best bet is to buy one of the hundreds of AVC's that people have removed and chucked under the workbench. Or if you're feeling cheap and lazy and can get the remnants of the old solenoid valve out of the ACV, replace it with a bolt.

By the way......I see the electrical harness for that solenoid is just in front of the old solenoid. I'd suggest going to the other end of that harness and disconnecting it from the main EM harness so that you don't accidently short the black/white wire in that harness to gnd. That would pop one of the EGI fuses in the engine bay fuse box. That seems to happen very often to members of this forum.
No need for a bolt in its place. Either buy a good used one or leave it as is. It's harming nothing.
To test your new one, leave it out of the ACV and turn the key to ON. Put the transmission in fifth gear. Offer up the solenoids small poppet vlave to the solenoid. The poppet valve of the solenoid, should be attracted to the solenoid and be held there magnetically. Put the transmission in any other gear........and the poppet will fall on the ground with it's small spring. Happy hunting for both parts if you do that.
Like I say, I'd remove the remnants of that solenoids harness pdq.
