Want to use FD3S front brake rotors?
Came across these adapters on YJA...
They look simple enough, and I'm sure someone out there can duplicate them pretty easily.
Use stock FD front brake rotors...
Keep your stock front brake calipers, since they are basically the same thing as the FD units.
So you end up with "FD front brakes"...
Should give you a little better braking performance due to the larger rotor, and maybe even a little better braking "feed" due to the physics.
These were priced about US$50 on YJA, so copies would make for a very nice budget brake upgrade.

Brake Rotor Dimensions:
FC (10.86in x 0.78in) vs. FD (11.57in x 0.87in)
240SX guys are also using similar, albeit larger, adapters to accommodate larger 350Z brake rotors (12.75in) in combination with 300ZX brake calipers.

if the hat height is the same there will no different in offset... it looks as if just the thickness of the rotor and the diameter are larger.. but honestly this is LESS then 1" in diameter larger.. I dont think it will do much for stopping.. a good quality brake pad will do more for u then this will..

This will only work if u use 4 pot front calipers.. because the pads are the same for the S5 4 pots and the FD frt calipers
I wish I had a pic of the 4 pot fc calipers and the fd calipers.. they use the same pads however I think it is possible if u push the front fc falipers out further u will get a 3/4" overhang where the pad wont touch the rotor...
unless the only difference is the mounting ears are longer on a fd caliper to fit the larger rotor.

This kind of thing is popular with the Nissan boys so they can fit GT-R brakes to their lesser models. Just read a write up on a 200sx being fitted with GT-R brakes in this fashion, however the stocks were 270mm and GT-R brakes are 324mm a sizable difference.
I think this would be great option for $50. I'd classify it more under "styling" than "performance," but it's not like the two couldn't overlap a bit. Not everybody needs 13" brakes, and these days even commuter cars (Mazda3) have 12" brake rotors.
I'd buy a set from a domestic dealer. Thought, seeing that the bracket is simply a plate, I can work out the math and have my machinist friend make me my own for free.99

I wouldn't expect a huge increase in braking perfomance but the slightly larger rotor may dissapate heat better and therefore help to reduce fade. Either way i'm making some bigger rotors will look nice with my 18s the stockers look small
This'll change your F/R brake bias, so unless you want a bit more stability under braking, you'll need to adjust the bias. A brake bias adjuster on the rear line will only be able to turn down the rear percent, so you'd need to do a bit more work than for a rear upgrade
