Want some opinions...interior...
Redoing the interior in my S4...decided this is the car my money will go into. Anyways...the carpet is shot. Years ago I thought I could make everything OK by gluing down new carpet over and doing this and that and what not and now I have nasty carpet.
Now, the interior is going to be black and grey (plastic black, cloth grey, was hoping the carpet would be grey). I pulled the carpet out of my parts car and intend to use it...it's in really good shape. Only thing it it's blue. I like blue...but it just doesn't fit in with the car. Anyways, I cleaned it up and it looks really great (like new no traffic) but it's just not in my plans...so...
My options:
Clean the carpet, dye it black, install, call it good.
Ebay the carpet and coat the interior with 1/8" rubberized truck bed coating. Non-slip, water proof, weighs in at 8oz, when the car disintegrates I'll still have a floor shaped mold of truckbed coating. Then use some really plush floor matts. Of course I'll be pulling out all the tar stuff on the pan and such...
So what you guys think?

Maybe dye the capet black and add some carbon fiber (or brushed aluminum) pieces to spice up the otherwise all black interior?
The truck bed coating sounds pretty ghetto. I'd only do that to a track-only car.

May sound ghetto but, like I said, it only weighs 8-10oz for a 1/4" coat and most of it you can't see (under seats, dash, floor matts...). I dunno yet.
