Want to put LSD into non lsd rear end

My question is will an LSD off of another model just directly bolt right in, or is there mods needed. maybe i should just change the rear end?? any feedback would be helpful...

Dooo it.

Externally, they're the same. It doesn't matter.

Searching helps a lot, try it next time.

Get the S4 clutch type LSD, if you prop up the rear end and spin one wheel, the other will sping in the same direction with Clutch LSD and spiing opposite if its an open diff. also may have a tag on the drain plug.

for clutch type? The GTU came with it, as well as the turbo's.

Viscous type (S5) was the turbos and I believe the GTUs... not sure... could have been the GTU again.

Since neither you or the original poster mentioned it, Turbo and NA diffs are not the same. An NA LSD will be required.

Sorry, they will bolt up to the subframe... but you will need the t2 tranny and driveshaft to bolt up to the drivetrain. My apologies.

Any non-turbo LSD will fit.

That's just a bunch of extra work and expense for no gain.

Since the diff will be out, you just unbolt the old mount and bolt on the new one.
