walbro install questions

So I installed a walbro and the car runs really crappy and the pressure reads around 55psi idleing. Regulator is getting vacuum and about 1 min after the pressure drops to about 40 and then runs smooth until above 3500 rpms the pressure goes down when on the gas until I release it. I still need to change the fuel filter but was wondering if anyone has ran into this before.

I had a simular problem, it was caused by a clogged pick up sock on my freshly installed pump. I had it in there for all of a few hours of run time and it was clogged so bad it would barly run.

The fuel filter could also be the problem, change that first and see what happens.

do you have an adjustable regulator? if not go buy one!!! if yes set the fuel pressure on idle, with the vaccum hose disconnected to 37psi.

Hopefully didn't mess up to much by driving it because barelly got it home when it sounds like an injector stuck open and it flooding. I have to redo the whole fuel system the way the fuel looks in the rail though.
