Talking Vote! What type of wheels do you have on your FC?!

I see many different type of wheels on second-gens. I was just trying to figure out what is the most popular type of wheel you guys use for the street.

My favs are the medium mesh, ultra-white powder coated OEM TII wheels, and good looking swoosh/curvy 5 star.

I almost always get asked "When you gonna get some wheels"?

I always answer "I have five wheels, four on the ground and one as a spare".

I was asked more than once by the people that were rebuilding my engine "When are you gonna get a steering wheel"?

I always answered: "I have one. If it breaks, I'll give you a call".

Here's the wheels that are on my car:

I have these too... look good. I am trying to get a set of the 16x7.5" BBS rims from the Infini though- look the same, but allow a bit more rubber under there. (Perhaps 245-50-16?) That would take wider front fenders though... maybe I'll stick with 225's.

Did you refinish those rims?? If so how'd you get them to look like that? I've wanted to do that to my GXL rims (I can't afford new wheels). If I could do that i'd be satisfied with em!

YES! So far the only one with 3 spokes. I really deserve the CHEEZE award. Actually they were on it when I purchased the car. 16x7 Prime split 3 spokes. {insert puke smile here, couldnt get to work}
I keep looking for stock TII rims locally for cheap & waiting for my buddie to spend $$ on rims so I can have his.

Now i am in the big league i can answer this question in a number of ways, to start with i'll answer it with a question. that is "Which set in particular are you wanting to know about?"

for road i have 17x8 Motoform Circs with 235/45ZR17s on the rear and 215/40ZR17's on the front
I also have a set of 16inch P7 Panasport Rims, 8inch out back, 7 inches up front, soon to be graced in some Toyo Proxes RA1 dot bias race tyres.
Also have a Pair of 15x6's which i am wanting to pick up another pair of for use on gravel events i do, these will be graced with some rally type tyres.

so i can honestly say i have 2 1/2 sets of rims, and all are 5 spoke.
that answer ya question?

Cheers
Shane

Actually, you should have these, either painted or polished. These have 10 slots instead of the '88 versions 7 slots. My car is an '87 and had the painted type.
