voltemeter quit working

voltemeter quit working

Check the plug on the alternator. The R terminal should have 12v with ignition on. (S terminal if you have a S5)
The L terminal should have ~14V when engine running (with plug still plugged in.)

if both of those check out then its just your gauge or the wiring between the gauge and the alt.
