Question Visible smoke, after 6000 rpm shift, then gone!

Well, curious thing on my new to me 89 not turbo stick. Bought car, got it started after oil in plug holes overnight, smoked excessively, and then gone. Perfect. Now though, I let it warm up to half in temp gauge, then when I drive , between gears upon shifting around 6000 rpms, when I get back into throttle, it smokes for a split second, then gone.

This only happens for like 5 or 10 minutes, when I first drive it. And it is definetly warmed up, and from searching here, the smoke is oil. Is it seals? Am I pushing it to hard? Thanks for advice.

Smoke can be from coolant too.

Sounds like a little oil from the oil seals escaping and blowing by, I would just continue to monitor it. You might want to check the OMP but if it's high mileage, it's probably the oil seals.

I have the same problem. I went to walmart and bought this oil sealant bottle, it says it prevents smokes, and it basicly just blocks off the leaking in the oil seals. It supose to kick in after about 200 miles. You put it in the oil filler. It seems like its smoking less already. I forgot what the brand was called, but look for something like this.. if not then i gues ur engine just needs a rebuild with new seals
