Vibration
Vibration
I've noticed recently a vibration in my car while i'm driving it and just the other day it got noticeably worse all of the sudden. The vibration only occurs when the transmission is engaged, so i know it's not coming from the motor. I put the car up on some ramps and checked the driveshaft out and the motor and engine mounts and everything appears to be in order. I know that my transmission is junk and will need to be replaced soon, but i dont know if that would be whats causing the vibration. It only does it when i'm on the throttle and varies based on rpm. Any ideas?

If it gets worse as RPM's increase, it might be the drive shaft. That's what happened to me. Actually, it was worn out U-joints, but I had to replace the whole drive shaft. So, I replaced it with separate shaft and U-joints rather than the integrated unit.
Check your transmission mounts too. The haynes manual and the FSM tell you hom. Basically, put a prybar in between the tranmission and the car and try to move it up and down. My mount was totallt shot and I had the vibration problem you describe. A new one from Mazdatrix.com fixed the problem.
