Vibration

Guys, I hope someone can help me. I have a wierd vibration whichstarts around 2500 rpms and seems to disappear around 3500. I have dis-engaged the clutch, and the problem does go away, then when I let it out again, it returns. Does anyone now where I should start? Is it the clutch?

your clutch could need adjustment, but you should probably check your driveshaft.. namely your U-joints. I had a problem similar to that, although my vibrations differed slightly. Just get it checked out, you might need a new driveshaft.

new trans saddle mount cured most of my vibration probs, but I don't remember the vibration being constrained to an rpm range...don't know if the turbos have that same setup...

I had similar problems. New transmission mounts solved em' check out www.mazdatrix.com I got the main mount and the two other rubber mount pieces.

Check the FSM. It has good information on checking your transmission mounts. Basically just pry between the car and the tranny. it you have a lot of play, then your mounts are bad.

If you mounts are good, it sounds like u-joints (also in the FSM)
