I want to thank everyone who helped me figure out some of the probs I had with my GXL 87. I had asked many questions on here and got alot of good help from very good people !!!!!!!!!! I did the tranny swap AUTO to 5 speed went very well except for a noisy throw out bearing. Alos the help with crazy idle when A/C is on . I did the BAC cleanning and that went away . Alos go tthe little pill that goes in my vacume line to th eboost sensor and that got ride of the crazy 3800 bucking . But I did do all of the grounding and so on in the list I got . THanks again to every one who gave me their advise !!!!!!!!!!! Happy motoring to you all !!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey! If you never got that throwout bearing noise fixed try putting some motorcycle chain grease on the arm. I dont know if itll work for RX7's ( since Ive never ran into that problem ) but I know it works for my friends Miata.

Worth a shot

adam, which 'arm' are you referring too? is this a fix that can be enacted without tearing down the tranny? my bmw throwout bearing is screeching like a banshee.

Adam, you mean the arm that the T/O bearing is attached to? How would grease on that solve a noise problem? I just replaced my T/O bearing and I haven't run the car yet, so I hope the noise is gone.
