Very pleased

I just wanted to give some feed back on the recent project I finished. I replaced the stock shifter in my car with a miata shifter, giving it a shorter throw and lower seating in the car. I also replaced the shift **** with an RX8 **** and i've got nothing but positive feed back since. The **** fits my hand extremely well and the new throw makes my car an even larger thrill the drive. If anyone is considering going with a short throw shifter or looking to spice up there interior a bit, i highly recommend both of these modifications. I will post pics after my new shift boot is complete.

Paulie

Cool..I was thinking of getting the RX8 shiftknob and re-threading it to fit my short shifter.

Yes, the miata shifter will bolt right in. Mine came from a 92 I believe. The threading on the shifter is also the same as an S5.

was thinking about getting the mazdatrix one for $190, but if the miata's a direct drop in and a true short shifter "I seriously miss shifts all the time with my sloppy !!AS HELL!! stock shifter."

Then it's time for my *** to get down to pick a part!
