vertical radiator ideas?
has anybody been successful at mounting an aluminum radiator vertical and what size efan did you use.....im asking because i want a way to run my filter to the front bumper and i dont want to cut anymore holes in my car. i just thought it would be nice to run a pipe between the radiator support and the radiator. now the radiator will be closer to the motor and airflow will be an issue, so would this be possible?

That is exactly how I plan on doing it.
Since it will require deleting the AC I'm waiting till after my vacation trip next week.
Also plan to relocate the battery to the passenger bin and making new shrouds for the oil cooler and rad, so the front will be quite different when finished.
The actual rad relocation should be quite straightforward.
Plan on using the new, stock CSF rad I just put in and it looks like the lower hose should be fine but the upper will require some modification.
An efan will replace the stock mechanical unit so clearance will not be an issue.
Good luck with yours and please post pics.

well, i have a big aluminum radiator in right now that i was only able to tilt a little because its 2" taller than the stock unit. the brace i have across the bottom scrapes speed bumps so i cant put it any more vetical....i might be able to find a smaller radiator or switch back to the stock one, unless you guys know of a rectangle shape duct i can rig up. also what size fan are you guys going to run.....i have a puny 15" fan on mine, would it be wise to install a bigger one?

oops...heres a attached pic as you can see there is only about 2.5 inches of room towards the top of the radiator. should i get a smaller radiator and mount it further back or is there some kind of weird duct i can use? please post pics of your setups as well.....good luck
