vert window motors in coupe

Alright i searched and re-read the faq, and still didn't find an answer. The Infini uses vert window motors to save weight. My window motors are dieing so I thought, alright lets throw the verts ones in. Then reality caught up and I thoguht, it can't be that easy. So, I'm wondering what must be doen to use vert window motors in a coupe, thanks

Hmmm, sounds like it would work to me. I had to replace my vert. window regulators and it took me a while to find them. Good luck.

Mmmmm... I don't know if I would want to do that. Vert window lifts are notoriously unreliable. I have been through two sets on the driver's side and they are not the easiest things to find. Just paid $140 for a used one. Whenever I see a vert at the junk yard, the first thing pulled out is the window reg... if it works. I mean how much weight can you save by switching.

Are there any other types of window motors that are stronger? mine are on their way out too... looking for a replacement. Whenever i replace something i wanna upgrade it at the same time.

Are you sure about that? First time I've heard that one. Why would they be any lighter?
