vert top issue?

This morning my top worked fine. Sat out in the snow for a little while and when I pulled it back in the shop I tried to drop the top again, but all i get is a beeping from the back of the car. Anyone ever had this problem? Or is it some built in feature( I dont have the owners manual) I havent experienced before? The car is still wet, but I wouldnt think that would stop the top from working. AnyIdeas?

as a reminder, you are not supposed to lower or raise the top in temps below freezing, as the vinyl may crack or be damaged.
