Vert top conditioners?
Yup, I did search back 2 years.
Recently bought a mint '90 vert and want to use the best vinyl top conditioner. Seems Lexol, Zymol, Mothers, and Raggtop are mentioned most often. Has a better choice come up recently and what is the current opinion on the best?

I use Meguiars vinyl/rubber protector on my 89 vert with a black top. I really makes the top shine but smell kinda of funny and smears on the paint. I put it on about once a month and it always looks good.

This is the best stuff I've found, but it's not cheap. Put it on in FULL SUNLIGHT, dries fast, 2-3 coats, and your top never fades.
Note when you fold the top down most of these conditioners will leave a slight streak where the folds touch.
Unlike most "plastic trim details", this stuff stays on pretty good when it rains & doesn't smear. Another tip, after you clean the top put a sheet of cling wrap on the rear window & lower your side windows before spraying.
