vert top for autoX
I'll be racing in my 2nd autox tomorrow and I had a question which hopefully i can get some good input on tonight. Should I race with the vert top on or off? I'll be more comfortable with it off since im pretty tall. IT will also be lighter since I can take the solid top off and just fold the soft part back. The only thing is, i'll be getting way more wind resistance. Does that matter all that much in autox? I would think the weight would effect performance more.
The next question is, if the top is off, should i keep the windows up or down? What will help my aerodynamics more?

A vert has alot less body flex with the top up. I don't think the solid top part weighs over 25lbs. I also don't think aerodynamics play that big of role in autocross.

aerodynamics don't start coming into play until around 45 MPH. Anything below 45 MPH does not effect aerodynamics in any measureable way.
Most auto cross is driven at speeds under 60 MPH, so it will have only a marginal effect having the top or windows up or down.
The chassis is stiffer with the top up and latched however. This may or may not have an affect on your driving.
