'Vert top ???
Hi all. I am the proud new owner of a sweet '88 'vert. My top is perfect going down, but up needs a hand to get started going up.
Are the motors dying? There are adjustment screws I see, what are they for?

I'd double check the top speed issue by jumpering the diagnostic plug under the hood. If it is slow there, the motors may need cleaning or are dieing. If it is not slow there, the switch is dieing.
The only adjustment screws on the actual top itself are for placement

If you have bad switch, the top will move slower than when jumpered.
If you have a bad motor or dirty motors or lubrication issues, the top will move the same speed regardless of if it is jumpered or by the switch.
So that narrows down the trouble shooting at the easiest access point.

Got it, thanks.
My issue is when i want to raise the top, I must give it a bit of a pull upward to get it started. Once it gets moving, it closes as it should. Apologies for not being clearer in the initial post.
