Vert Question: Quarter glass and side window replaced with full window?
I'm wondering how many vert guys there are out there that hate their quarter glass as much as I do? I would like to do away with it and install a coupe window or similar if its at all possible. If anyone has tried this please chime in.....if not I guess I'll venture out on this on my own.

Very interesting idea...
It certainly appears that the glass would fit with a little mod work (will have to research the differences between the vert/coupe window regulators and seals around the front of the coupe window that will land inside the vert door). My guess is that it may not be perfect (or will require some additional thought) due to the lost stability of the glass since you will no longer have that vertical guide between the window and the quarter glass.....ie.: the larger / longer window will flex more and will not be rigid enough to maintain the top rear corner of the glass tight against the seal of the convertible top.....or at least is something to consider.
Definitely curious to know how this works if you do attempt it.

I don't have much knowledge about the specifics of vert construction/differences but would guess that such a project is much more involved than it first appears.

I've got a couple of buddy's that work at safelite with glass cutting tools so trimming the window shouldn't be too hard. The overall shape looks similar its the part of the glass that meets the top towards the back of the door that should have to be trimmed, but I don't see Mazda creating an entire door specifically for the vert when they could just use coupe doors, cut off the A frame and add reinforcement. The benefits for me are the fact that the car is a drift car and quarter glass obstructs vision and I don't want to just take it out because we have events rain or shine so I don't want to be soaked at the end of my runs, also the car is street driven on occasion and that would also be a pain in the *** if the weather acts up.
