Why do a lot of people hate on the vert? I have a '89 and I think it's one of the sexist verts on the road. I have a '90 GXL to, but I'd rather drive the vert, I guess I love the open air when I drive.

I'll get some pictures of my vert for you when I get home.

Yea, i love the 'vert too, especially after giving her the power she should have had stock. The only time i wish i had a coupe is when I'm forced to park in questionable neighborhoods, but so far I havent had a problem, and all those worries disappear upon dropping the top, listening to the engine and turbo spool, and getting on the go-pedal!

it's nothing against rx7 convertibles at all really, you guys have really beautiful cars in the pics above. and i love the targa aspect of it, it's just that 2 of my first cars were a 69' Vw beetle vert and a 91' Geo metro Vert and since then i just don't dig it. i'm also 6'3 and verts usually have alittle less headroom

Dude, thats just totally unfair to compare those **** boxes to an FC vert and to then tell someone not to get a vert because you had the worst 2 verts in history.

i'm sorry i apoligize, that was not a nice comment to tell him to sell it.

arexseven, what is discouraging you with the vert that would make you rather have a hard top??everything is the pretty much the same mechanically and suspension wise.

are you talking about looks? or performance?

Very nice vert hurley ! You've definitely inspired me. As for the verts, I absolutely love them. I wouldn't mind having a S5 turbo as well, but if I can only have one, the vert is the only way to go for me. I'd just like a little more power. Maybe a turbo swap is in the future for me... I think you just have to own one to truly appreciate it.

Now thats a damn good looking vert. One of the better ones I have seen.

Kudos!

One thing though. Please, paint the black trim red like the rest of the car. My 2 cents.
