vert leak and clock

The carpet behind the driver's seat keeps getting wet. I have traced it to a tiny drain in the fold of the top on the outside of the top behind the driver's door that drains through a tube to the ground under the car.

I have cleared it several times, but still I am getting wet carpet in heavy rain.

Any ideas?

Also, my clock is on crack... sometimes it resets to 1:00, other times it goes blank (no display) and comes back on at the correct time.

Also, can anyone recommend a top replacement place in S Florida, preferably Hollywood area.

Thanks

My 'vert is starting to do that too. Where the seal has been replaced to not allow water drop in, it's leaking again. Have you sealed it back up? I'll provide more information about it when I get home.

The clocks on 2nd gens are always on crack. Both my GXL and vert's clocks haven't worked "right" since I bought them. It's just a form of the idiot cluster inside the dash i guess.

My recommandation(sp) to fix that is buy a clock that you can install.

For top replacements i'll get back to you on that soon... Isn't it expensive for a new top though? How bad are your rips? My rips are on both sides, in the same areas.....

clock is probably cold solder joints in the idiot lights/clock panel.

vert leak

yep, my vert has the exact same leak, also traced it back to the fold. Was going to take it to a motor trimmer and get it upgraded somehow. My clock is also weird. Sometimes on, mostly off, but never resets itself. Presumed it was just a tricky wire.
