vert headrest speakers.... please help?
i got rid of my stock cd player that came i my 90 vert.. im planning on getting a reallly good aftermaket cd player like an alpine or something along those lines, but my question is that is my headrest speakers, are they ever going to be able to work off of another sterio without rewiring everything?, also what about the factor amp that i have does that need to be wired the the sterio too? and if the headrest speakers do work will they run off the switches in the middle (between your seats ) or off the sterio?

I've never worked with the headrest speakers, but my best guess is, if you use the factory harness, and the headrest speaker amp, it should work as normal. Just don't forget the remote wire to turn on the factory amp. It's usually not included in the aftermarket adapter harnesses.

Basically the front, rear and sub work off of the amps and the 4 headrest speakers work off the head unit with on and off only , no vol control, the front speakers and sub use the preouts on the aftermarket deck and the HR speakers use the normal stereo outputs, no need to amplify the headrest they are loud enough straight from the deck.
The switches that were controlling the HR speakers and the amp were bypassed.
I can give you more details if you need it just PM me.

Yes you can have them fully functional with an aftermarket. The only downfall is, that the impedance is low on your stock headrest amp (wich you will need) so the volume is going to be low on the headrest speakers.
You will need to hook up the remote wire from the headrest amp to the remote on the aftermarket.
You will use the rear speaker conectors from the new harnest for the headrest amp.
At least that is how I did it.

You can get them to work easily.
Here is a nice custom system that uses the stock headrest speakers which includes wiring diagrams.
