Vert ECU with TII

My conversion is almost done and I have a couple of questions about the ECU. I'll be using a 'vert ECU (N338 I think) from an '88 year car, an '87 TII motor all going into my '88 NA. My question is, I have heard that the N338 'vert ECU has 2 maps in it - the TII map, and the NA map and it automatically knows which one to run. Does this mean the N338 ECU has a fuel cut built into it or since it's not really a TII computer it has no fuel cut. Anyone ever use this ECU with a turbo motor before and hit fuel cut?

Thanks!!

Jon

You should make a fuel cut-off valve. With the stock vert ecu it will dump gas into your TII and flood it with that cold start stuff. You have to turn the car over with the valve shut first if you rebuilt it, to get the engine lubed without flooding the **** out of it.

Somebody really needs to send in an n338 and maybe an n353 ecu to henrik or somebody to see what it really does...we're all pretty much operating off hearsay in the meantime.

Jon, nobody knows the answer to this question that you have asked repeatedly...someone who knows stock ecu's and how to read them will need to check it out for us.

I have always planned to send an ECU to them for the stage 2 chip since I'd like to be able to conservatively control 720cc secondaries for a bit of added safety since I plan to run 10-12 psi w/ the stock turbo and GReddy V spec IC kit. Once my car is ready (maybe this weekend, woohoo) I'll try to get a hold of another vert ECU and a 87-88 TII ECU (for stage 2) to send to pocketlogger if they want to play with it. We've known them for a while...good guys, the DSM logger is invaluable to me for my GVR4
