Vert to Coupe whats not interchangable
I recently rescued a S5 vert from a v8 conversion gone bad. After getting this thing home I found many more issues are evident than originally viewed. (Looked at a black on black car at night, my bad).
So, I will need a mess of parts. I am going to go through with this "restoration" as I do have little in the car and hate seeing a straight body bite the dust.
I will need many interior parts including door panels. I have an engine and trans lined up from a fellow club member and have the original shaft. I will need many odds and ends. Other than the obvious door glass roof and trunk, what parts are interchangeable? Some I will need include an exhaust (smog ready), one taillight, and the above mentioned door parts, carpet, and a mess of stuff under the hood.
Any help will be appreciated.

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
You are probably better off asking what parts are interchangable as a good 50% of vert parts are vert only.
Door panels are vert only (but you can probably modify coupe ones to work).
The exhaust used different mufflers, but the main cat back can be subsituted with coupe ones.
Carpet is not interchangeable, although you could use a GXL carpet (just will not fit right from the back of the seats back).

Mark, thanks
I will need door panels, cats, heat shields, and a bunch of dash stuff for sure. I believe the engine/trans will be a good fit. I just hate to strip and scrap this shell. Looks like a fun winter project.
