VDI opening RPM

My VDI is opening at between 5200 and 5400. Is this too early? It used to open at 6000, but that seemed late. I would feel power dropping off from 5k to 6k, then pick back up.

Maybe only a dyno can tell? I am hitting the dyno when my megasquirt comes in.

5200 is the stock spec for opening.

If it was opening at 5400 or 6000 then the valve is probably gummed up and needs cleaning.

Oh, it wasn't set correctly on my RPM switch.

Currently have Aux opening at 3800 and VDI anywhere between 5200 and 5400. Hard to tell. Trying to keep eyes on the road when I see the LED come on, comparing it to my SAFC tach reading, because stock tach is about 400 RPM off.
