Sorry about the basic question, but this is my first time working on a car. I’ve been searching for days and wanted a sanity check.
Car: 1988 TII
Problem: The vacuum hose connecting the air bypass valve to the upper intake manifold was crispy and snapped.
ID looks to be different sizes on each end — 3.5mm on the intake side and I didn’t measure the ABV side, but it was larger. I tried to buy one from Mazda (N31820381B) and see for myself, but they said the part is no longer available.
Are the ends actually two different ID? If so, what’s the alternative? Some sort of reducer?
