Vac line Removal NA
I'm looking for a write-up to simplify and remove the smog vacuum lines on an FC. I have an 88 Sport. There's a writeup for the TII in the archive but I'm looking for an NA version.

if you remove all of the vac lines you either need to eliminate the vdi and 6 port system or come up with a custom setup to handle them (this is what I did). You can remove all of the vac lines and just run one vac line from the FPR to any vacuum nipple after the throtle body. You also need to keep the line running from the boost pressure sensor to the upper intake manifold. The rest of them can be eliminated. You can even eliminate the whole vacuum rack and run custom fuel lines (also what I did). Another thing which I'm assuming you have already figured out, is that you must disable the OMP and run premix. The oil injectors are controled by two vacuum lines that will not be functional once you remove all that junk. I would only recommend doing this if you are fully aware of the effects it will have on the car. I personaly love it. After all of that stuff is gone; working under the hood is a lot easier and R/R on the intake is as simple as an oil change. I can now R/R the intake in under 1 hour.

good post Samps, that is pretty much what i did, but i removed the 6th ports, i reconnected my omp without the rack, as well as running pre mix(back up), run the primary fuel rail fuel line to the fuel filter, the secondary fuel rail line to the return line, 5/16 internal diameter fuel injection line. vacuum the fpr to the tb. if yoyu remove the bac you will need to warm the car up quite a bit to hold idle and will need lots of readjustment after reassembly. but in my opinion, it is well worth it. while you have it all off, port the manifold and to the tb mod.

I don't need to run a line from the upper intake or extension manifold to the tb. Dcfc3s's post says this aides in the atomization of fuel. I already broke those plastic atomizers porting out the manifold.
