v mount ?'s

v mount ?'s

is the v mount supposed to be flat? im wondering what ic is vertical and behind the radiator like on the fd's? whats that called? and is there anybody running that in there fc now?

There was just a large discussion about VMIC vs. FMIC a page ago, or so.
The FD setup is basically just a FMIC behind the rad. If the IC is vertical, then it's a FMIC or a SMIC. A VMIC is exactly like it sounds. The radiator is on the bottom / and the IC is on top \ , put them together and they look like this >. Try a search for V-Mount

i read that thread but i didnt know what exactly a v mount was. but i got it now thanx. now if the front mount behind the rad is there any gains from doing this? i seen alot of fd's with this but not one fc.

It has better gains than a TMIC but, either place that you place the IC (in front or in back of the rad) there's going to be trade offs in cooling. In front, the intercooler will be cooler but the rad will suffer and vice versa. But in general there will be less of a temperature change in the air flow between the two of them if you put the IC infront.
