using tII manifold on a 6 port

Is it at all sensible to use a tII mani that is match ported and polished blah blah blah on an NA motor with no sleeves and no emissions/vaccum lines ? why do i want to do this i dunno just bored wondering.... thanks Gabe

Som one was saying that they out flow the n/a manifold. But it was dificult to get them matched up or something. It was said that the 3rd gen manifold, I think most of it any way was a very good mod for the TII. So in therory, If you were to build a S5 n/a motor internaals with ported TII housings, G3 intake, and something like a hatech or somthing. Then you might have the fastest n/a out there.
These are my dreams.
This is my lose plan for the drag car I just got after I strip it of the parts I need for my 88.
any new thoughts?

Well that was my thoughts on it too i thought that it would flow better than the s4 intake but i still have those damn 5/6 ports so i guess stick to its corresponding intake

IF the stock turbo intake flowed better on the NA motor than the stock NA manifold, which do you think mazda would have installed to begin with??

The turbo manifold's only improvement is that it is 4 port, which will always move more air than a 6 port, just do so poorly at low rpms. ON a turbo this is offset by boost.

The turbo manifold is made the way it is to accomodate the stock turbo sitting close to the block, therefore it is thin at the bottom, and wouldnt flow as well on an NA motor. The na intake is at least partially tuned for good flow on the 6 port na motor. There are long sweeping curves(with exception to the dynamic chamber area) versus short tight ones on the turbo manifold.

Just take one look at detruich's motor and you know you want one like it

kevin i already did all that crap last week... when i take my omp off ill only have 1 boost sensor line and fuel vacuum line.... no tps i might add.....Oh yeah dont know how far up the rpms or how long i couldve done it but we accidently ran the car without the boost sensor vacuum line and the idle was still stuck at 800...what does that mean? one last thing stop picking on me about my run-on sentances im to lazy to make grammar changes

Hey man thats what you get when you have to be a cheap *** about it. **** I gave him a set of new apex seals for it. IF he had had a lousy 120 bucks to forward me that leak wouldnt be there, but it's what happens when you reuse old gaskets. He said he just wanted something to hold together for a couple years so there it is. It's a $200 rebuild...
