Using s5/s6 turbo housings on S4 turbo engine

I am doing an engine rebuild and having some issues finding s4 turbo housings. But am able to source a pair of either FD housings, or s5 housings. I was wondering was there any issue with using anything other than s4 housings?

as long as the two housings have the spark plugs in the same location as each other(visually inspect this) you should be fine. There is a hole for a knock sensor on the s5 and s6 if you want to relocate yours.

Go with the S6 if you can afford it, they have the best chrome surface treatment from the factory

do s5/s6 housings spark plug locations differ randomly. If different is there any way i can still use them? As finding TDC my self a making new markings?

Also if I do not wish to relocate my knock sensor can i just plug the knock sensor port with a bolt?

Hmmm I was about to say, The s5 and s4 n/a do not have a difference in the spark plug location. But that does make sense. From n/a to tii.

Thanks that thread answered a couple questions. I know that it would be an issue mixing rotor housings.

But for my s4 engine I would be using matching rotor housings and not mixing series such as S5 with s4. if its going to be s4 housing its going to be 2 s4 housings or if its going to be s5 housing its going to 2 s5 housings.

My question is because the spark plug holes are lower? will there be an issue with timing using the rest of my s4 stuff (cas, harness, ecu, etc.)
