using S4 na housings in a S5 TII motor?

having a little trouble finding a S5 tII front housing, and running out of time.

I have a pair of good condition S4 N/A housings laying around... IF I drill out the coolant passages for the LIM, and swap out the TII exhaust sleeves, is there any reason I can't use them ? been searching, but can't really find a clear answer...

I think the only issue would be the knock sensor on the housing. 89 and newer is on the housing and 87-88 models is on the intermediate plate.

I'm running standalone anyway, so that shouldn't be an issue.

yup and actually to save some headache in the future. just drill the rear passage out. you dont use the front one anyway and its only purpose is to leak later on. and one more thing that shouldnt be a problem for you but would be good knowledge is that the s5 housings spark plug holes are drilled in a different position. i think its 5* more advanced but im not sure. shouldnt be a problem if you use both s4 rotors though.

well if you drill it out make sure that you get that seal and get it machined so the seal will fit there. i would ask kevin landers since he is doing it to my jhb housings.
