Using a Multimeter to find wire that's grounding out

I have a fuse that keeps blowing. I'd like to test the leads in a wire harness to figure out which wire is grounding out and causing the problem.
Can I use a multimeter to do this?

It's the fuse that powers the Comfort Control Module in my Passat.

You can ohm out the harness by disconnecting the wires at each end and measuring from the connectors, but you can't measure "through" the electronic module because there's no telling what readings you'll get.

also you can put one lead on ground and probe wires that are known not to be grounded.. if they have ground that is a short. (Short to ground) you can also short a ground wire to positive.
