Used apex seals
Im in the process of rebuilding my motor (because of bad water seals) and the Apex seals measure 6.65mm The Haynes manual says Standard is 8.0mm and limit is 6.5mm soooo.... would they be worth reusing? Im trying to rebuild it as cheap as possible but I don't want it to be in vain. Thanks for the advice.

cheap = failure. That's my advise.
if you can't afford new seals then you shouldn't even start the rebuild process in the first place.
would you use a used condom? even if I tell you it has been soak in Alcohol for 2 days and its 100% virus/STD/gem/whatever free.
but its your car so you can do whatever you want. just don't cry 2 weeks later and tell us that "omg my engine blew"

yeah 6.65 is almost worn out. so the seal can wear 1.5mm and yours has worn 1.4mm... done!

I dunno. i got a set of first off apex seals, got them cheap cause they came out at 6.5, and so far they've lasted me 2 season of road race.
I wouldn't suggest this method for 3 reasons. 1 it's not mail daily driver; 2, i've got a spare motor; 3, i've got all the equipment to rebuild a motor in my garage, and can do it in a week while working full time.
