Use LED's for Flasher and HI Beam indicators?
this is what I want to do.
I would like to Wire up some LED's in Parallel with the Signal Light Wiring and the Hi-Beams,as the position of my Steering wheel is constantly interfering with the Stock gauge indicators.
My Question is: Do I need any Type of resistor to run in Series with the LED's?..
I am going to use some Radio Shack LED's(****,I threw out the Package)...anyways,anyone have any Info? Thanks,STYX.

You will need a resistor depending upon the LED. Most will have a forward voltage of anywhere from 2.5 to 3.2 volts, which means you have to drop it down from the 12V that the regular bulbs would be receiving.
If you're going to put any amount of effort in it, I would highly recommend ordering some decent LEDs too. The Radio Shack special ones tend to be really crappy; I've had a few that were already dead in the packaging, and they're only around 600mcd.(Which means they're really dim)

I tested some of the LEDs out with a 9V battery, and seem to be Bright enough.
my idea is to run some Wire to the flasher bulb harness and tie into it there, rather than Try to Pin out the Signal switch.
I will also just find 12volts on the HI beam side of a Headlamp and connect there.
The Leds are going to be placed on the gauge surround.
