URGENT: How long is an S4 TII throttle cable??

I bought an S5 T2 throttle cable for my S4 T2 manifolds to S5 T2 TB setup. Its a little bit too long, around an inch. Does anyone know how long an S4 T2 cable is exactly so I can get it cut at the bicycle shop?

The whole cars done and this is whats holding it back, lol I really don't want to wait another two days to get it from Mazda.

They should both be the same... Why not just make a new throttle cable bracket? Would be easier than cutting the throttle cable itself.

Nah, they're different. Check Mazdatrix, 2 different part numbers. I thought about making a bracket but I have no clue where to even start. If I find out the length I can hand it to the bicycle shop and have them cut it to size.

I didn't touch the bracket. Its an S4 manifold so it needs an S4 cable since the S5 bracket is different.

Are these turbo cars? If they are then I'll have to check that, thanks. I do know for a FACT that the S4/S5 cables are different in length.

I do in fact have a s4 cable in my s5 6 port turbo. With s5 intake manifold and throttle body.

of course
why would i talk about NA throttle cable when the topic is about T2 manifolds and T2 cables?

I thought you might have made a mistake. The series 4 and 5 throttle cable BRACKETS are different. There is no way to interchange the throttle cable between series unless you switch the brackets.

The series 4 bracket is roughly one inch shorter (closer to the TB) than the S5. I got an S4 cable from a junker, works great now.

I'm glad this came up. I am putting an S5 TB on my otherwise S4 TII engine this week, and was wondering if my S4 cable was going to work. So it sounds like the TII throttle cable should be matched with the same series intake manifold, regardless which series of TB. Nice.

Switching the TB will make no difference, switching the UIM without changing the bracket will require the same series cable.
