after discovering a cracked exhaust manifold on my 10ae i was wondering if it would be worth the turbo upgrade while it was all taken apart. not to mention the turbo has a hairline crack on it as well. would i have to upgrade the fuel system as well in conjunction with the turbo upgrade? whats the code/name of the stock 88 turbo?

 

Most internal cracks are harmless.
I'd just smooth off the internal edges & port the waste gate if you haven't already.

How bad do you want to start spending on the upgrade daisy chain?

 

uh.....this crack is severe. well there is about 5 or 6 cracks. one of which goes all the way through the manifold. u about pull the manifold apart with ur hands watching the crack expand. its bad. real bad

 

It sounds like it's asking you for an S5 manifold & turbo.
