are upgrade bulbs available for 1989+ stock fogs???
Greetings,
I've got an '89 GTU with the stock fogs. I was wondering if anybody knew if there exist any replacement upgrade eg. superwhite etc. available for direct swap. If so, do you know the trade / a.k.a. industry common pt. #? Thanks Pic is SCCA GT3. That's what I like to see. Rotary domination!

i have not seen bolt in replacement that are hyperwhites. However, I bought some hyper H3's (it only has 1 wire and the housing is grounded) and put them in there. The H3 housing is the same as the stock fog bulb, but the wire is different (stock has 2 prongs to the harness). Here's what you do:
Make a 2"-3" wire. On one side, make a male connector that will fit into the stock harness (like the pre-wire on the H3 bulb). On the other end, make a round screw-in type connector (the type w/ an O-ring) and secure it to the screw in you fog light housing (you'll know it once you open it up). Connect the H3 sire to teh other port of your harness. That's all you need to upgrade you fog bulbs.
